Manhattan MET Courses

Manhattan provides a series of comprehensive training courses at our corporate training facilities around the world. These hands-on workshops, taught by our highly skilled team of Certified Training Consultants, provide system users with a strong working knowledge of Manhattan solutions by building on core concepts to gain an in-depth understanding of best practices for each supply chain solution.

Current Classes

WM for Open Systems

  • Level 1: This course provides an introduction to Warehouse Management and functional aspects of the inbound process—interfaces, receiving, putaway, cycle counting and vendor performance; and the outbound process—waves and wave management, replenishment, allocation, picking and packing, and transportation.

    March 1 - 5, April 19 - 23, July 12 - 16,  August 30 - September 3, October 11 - 15

  • Level 2: Building on Level 1, this week-long, in-depth course teaches Warehouse Management installation and configuration through hands-on exercises in which participants create a warehouse master file and set up locations and the warehouse.

    February 8 - 12, May 17 - 21, August 9 - 13, November 1 - 5

  • Level 3: This four-day course on Systems Management and Techniques teaches techniques for identifying and resolving Open Systems issues quickly, including system administration, core architecture, environment configuration, database purging and archiving, importing/exporting data dumps, stored procedures, functions and triggers.

WM for System-i

  • Level 1: This course provides an introduction to Warehouse Management in the System-i environment including functional aspects of the inbound process from interfaces to receiving, putaway, cycle counting and vendor performance, and the outbound process including waves and wave management, replenishment, allocation, picking and packing, and transportation.

    April 19 - 23, July 19 - 23, October 4 - 8

  • Level 2: Building on Level 1, this week-long, in-depth course teaches Warehouse Management in the System-i environment, including installation and configuration, through hands-on exercises in which participants create a warehouse master file and set up locations and the warehouse.

    March 15 - 19, May 24 - 28, August 23 - 27, November 8 - 12

  • Level 3 - Systems Management/Troubleshooting.  This four-day course covers Warehouse Management systems management and techniques for resolving System-i issues more quickly.  Topics include change management, error investigation, purging, debugging programs and using journals.

    June 22 - 25, December 7 - 10

  • Introductory System Commands for SMT: Optional 1 day course taught in conjunction with Systems Management and Troubleshooting.  This class teaches the basic commands and definitions.  Taught on Mondays prior to SM&T.

Manhattan SCALE™: Supply Chain Architected for Logistics Execution

  • Manhattan SCALE: Now 5 days, this course presents functional aspects of the inbound process—interfaces, receiving, putaway, cycle counting; and the outbound process—wave management, replenishment, allocation, picking and work orders as well as the configuration to make it all work.

Slotting Optimization

  • This course offers an overview of the application and the configuration required to improve item slotting for a warehouse.

Labor Management

  • This course consists of seven modules used to introduce participants to the Labor Management software. It provides the core knowledge necessary to understand the tracking warehouse events, employee activities, employee performance statistics, personal information, performance goals, and actual performance time in the warehouse.

Supply Chain Intelligence (SCI)

  • This course is designed for Business Analysts and Report Users. It walks participants through the Analysis and Reporting of a business' Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and the integration of various business services (WMOS, LM, TP&E) into one easy-to-use reporting tool.

Transportation Planning and Execution

  • This two-day course consists of seven modules that introduce participants to TP&E through hands-on exercises in which participants configure the application, navigate the systems, and execute the solutions. This introductory course focuses on Truckload and Less than Truckload planning and execution.

Transportation Procurement

  • Transportation Procurement (TP) allows shippers to quickly and efficiently secure transportation contracts with their carriers. It puts the shipper in control of their transportation contracting process. With TP, shippers manage the entire process in an environment that gives them easy access to data, collaboration with carriers, and analytical tools to evaluate bids from their carriers.

Replenishment

  • For new buyers or those who need a refresher in the basics, this two and a half day class features the basic concepts of Replenishment, understanding the components of the Suggested Order Quantity(SOQ), and managing the demand forecast.

Course Structure

Each course begins with basic navigation, concepts and system integration. Each day of a course includes the following components:

  • Lecture
  • System demonstrations
  • Hands-on activities in a virtual warehouse
  • Lunch and refreshment breaks

Cancellation Policy

  • Manhattan MET reserves the right to postpone any scheduled training based on the number of registrants and instructor availability. You will be notified of any course cancellation.
  • If you choose to cancel your registration more than five business days prior to the course, we will provide a full refund of fees.
  • If you cancel within five business days of course, we will refund 90% of the registration fee.
  • If you registered, but did not attend or cancel, we will refund 50% of the registration fee on request.
