Innovate Logistics is the largest privately-owned temperature-controlled logistics services business in the UK, with over 350 vehicles and 500-plus temperature-controlled trailers. Tim Bolam, group operations development director, explains in this video clip how losing just a short amount of time in a chilled operation can quickly escalate into a major supply chain problem, and so the choice of warehouse management system in this environment is critical. With Manhattan Associates' Warehouse Management solution, Innovate Logistics has gained date rotation functionality, a 65% productivity improvement in 'pallet tipping', and a billing module that allows Innovate Logistics to pull bespoke reports straight out of the solution to provide invoices for clients. Halfords is the UK's largest retailer of auto parts, cycles and related accessories. It needed a new supply chain solution that would reliably support the business as it grew and as it expanded into new channels. The solution also had to enable Halfords to improve availability, cut down lead times, handle peaks in demand and improve overall supply chain performance. Mark Shirley, distribution centre operations manager at Halfords, explains in this video clip how Manhattan Associates' Warehouse Management solution for Open Systems was selected as it was identified as a solution that could help it meet all of these objectives, as well as integrate with and complement its SAP ERP system. - Mothercare: Video Case Study
Mothercare is one of the UK's largest retailers of clothing and products for mothers-to-be, babies and pre-school children. In addition to its 240 stores in the UK, it has over 250 franchises and now operates in 38 countries across Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. Following its de-merger from the Storehouse Group in 2000 and its return to operation as an independent company, one of the company's main challenges was to replace its logistics network. Carl Fulleylove, project manager at Mothercare, describes in this video clip how Mothercare went out to tender for a logistics services contract and that both contenders for running the operation recommended Manhattan Associates. He explains that Mothercare selected Manhattan Associates to help it move to a replenishment model in which it could reduce lead times to stores, improve availability and inject efficiency into its supply chain. - TNT: Video Case Study
