Winning Over Customers with a Unified Experience
SYDNEY and ATLANTA, August 16, 2016
Manhattan Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ: MANH) today announced that Australia’s leading kitchen and laundry appliance specialist, The Winning Group, has completed a successful roll out of Manhattan’s Supply Chain Commerce Solutions as part of a business transformation project designed to deliver a fulfilling brand experience for customers.
The Manhattan technology optimizes order fulfillment processes across The Winning Group’s omnichannel retail operations, delivers margin improvements via a flexible and streamlined distribution approach and enables ongoing business growth.
Alan Lewis, Chief Logistics Officer at The Winning Group, said, “Today’s consumers want a great brand experience. Not only do customers expect state-of-the-art appliances, they typically want all items – let’s say for a kitchen refurbishment – to be available in the same brand, style and finish and to be delivered and fitted on the same day. We aim to deliver a high level of customer experience across every business and channel of the Group so that the experience is unified and seamless.”
Lewis continued, “What does that mean for our operational teams? On the front end, it’s about integrating web analytics, point of sale information and phone interactions so we have a single view of the customer and their shopping and order fulfillment preferences. On the back end, it’s about having a single, accurate view of inventory, and having robust and flexible distribution processes in place, so we can get goods into the hands of consumers in a way that’s convenient for them at the same time as being profitable for the business. With Manhattan’s technology, The Winning Group has at its disposal a set of solutions that, quite simply, work better together, helping match orders with inventory and driving customer satisfaction through ensuring orders are fulfilled expediently and accurately every time, irrespective of the channel.”
The Manhattan platform was also chosen because of its capacity to seamlessly integrate with The Winning Group’s existing ERP system, for its ability to be easily deployed on the company’s Amazon Web Services cloud platform, and for its potential to drive ongoing efficiency enhancements across The Winning Group’s supply network including its distribution centers (DCs) in Adelaide, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane.
“The Manhattan solution deployment project came in under budget and was completed within expected timelines,” said Lewis. “When we started, we had an internal goal of three years to recover the cost of investment and we are well on track to deliver against that objective.” Raghav Sibal, Manhattan Associates’ Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, commented, “Manhattan’s technologies provide retailers like The Winning Group with a strategic solution that accelerates their journey to omnichannel retailing maturity. We’re confident our solutions will strengthen customer loyalty and boost the company’s top and bottom lines whilst ensuring continued success for The Winning Group well into the future.”
The Winning Group is a fourth generation Australian family business with a distinct focus on customer satisfaction. With three different retail brands (Winning Appliances, Appliances Online and Electro Seconds), Winning Group caters to different segments of the market. Offering old-fashioned, attentive customer service in a modern retail environment, the Group stocks over 300 brands such as Bosch, Dyson, Electrolux and Smeg, including high-end brands such as Miele, Gaggenau, Asko, Sub-Zero and Wolf.
