Whirlpool Spins Up an Optimized Supply Chain
As the world’s leading manufacturer and marketer of major home appliances, Whirlpool was challenged with merging the Whirlpool and Maytag supply chains, ensuring on-time delivery of products and reducing production and distribution costs. Whirlpool selected Manhattan based on its ability to standardize technology and processes across its entire distribution network.
In order to ensure products are available to customers within 48 to 72 hours, reduce production and distribution costs, and merge Whirlpool and Maytag supply chains, the company had to create leaner processes, increase productivity and improve order-to-delivery time.
Manhattan Associates was selected based on its flexibility and ability to standardize technology and processes across the entire Whirlpool distribution network.
The software improved stock accuracy by location from less than 90% to 99.89% and increased operational efficiency.
