Research on the expectations of British consumers regarding sustainable online shopping and the importance of sustainable delivery options
Sustainability is a must in today’s societies with the expectation that businesses do their best to operate, make and deliver their products to customers in ways that mitigate their impact on the environment. New research commissioned by Manhattan Associates and YouGov found that customers are willing to compromise convenience in order to be greener.
Interestingly, just over 40% of customers are willing to wait up to three days for more sustainable delivery options and over a third are willing to travel and return their products in store. There are expectations for businesses too, with 64% of consumers believing businesses should use more sustainable packaging materials, while almost half want more detailed product description pages to inform their decisions.
