Fulfillment Optimization Simulation Engine

The Fulfillment Optimization Simulation engine enables enterprises to model and compare alternative fulfillment strategies by balancing cost, speed, service level, and margin. It provides data-driven insights into split shipments, total fulfillment costs, location-level distribution, and key KPIs using a consistent setof orders for each strategy tested. Users can easily adjust optimization rules, rerun simulations, and compare results side-by-side to understand the true impact of each change. The engine also supports “what-if” scenario planning, allowing teams to anticipate constraints, evaluate operational shifts, and analyze trade-offs in a fully self-serve manner.

By replaying historical or selected orders, businesses can continuously optimize fulfillment, uncover new savings, and drive meaningful performance improvements.

Units of Measure

This release introduces robust support for selling, inventory, and pricing across multiple units of measure (UOM), giving businesses the flexibility to sell products the way customers prefer—whether by Each (EA), Kilogram (KG), Case, Pack, Sleeve, or by weight—while still maintaining inventory in the operational base UOM such as Each. Organizations can now define multiple ordering UOMs for a product alongside its base inventory UOM. Availability for all defined ordering UOMs is automatically exposed to selling channels, promising, and orchestration.

The system also provides full pricing flexibility, enabling finance teams to set pricing in whichever UOM best aligns with financial practices, including EA, KG, and Case. All conversions between ordering UOM, inventory UOM, and pricing UOM are handled automatically, ensuring orders, availability, fulfillment, and invoicing remain fully synchronized. This allows customers to purchase items in the format they prefer—from Each to Case to pounds— while ensuring accurate inventory tracking and consistent pricing throughout the entire fulfillment lifecycle.

Catch Weight Products

Support has been added for catch weight products—items whose weight varies from unit to unit and therefore cannot be sold or priced using a fixed weight. Each unit must be weighed individually at the time of fulfillment.

These products are typically sold by weight, such as pounds or kilograms, even though they may be handled or inventoried by each unit. Because the actual weight of each unit differs, retailers and distributors must track both the inventory unit count (for example, one piece) and the actual catch weight (for example, 1.73 lbs) to ensure accurate invoicing, inventory and fulfillment.

The update also includes the ability to define minimum and maximum tolerance values to support seamless order orchestration, along with capturing the final weight of each unit for precise inventory and financial processing.

B2B User Interfaces

This release delivers the ability to view shipping charges, order totals, and the ability to add new delivery addresses.

Store Inventory Management

Restock Scan Lows and Nos

Restock functionality enables store associates to instantly identify which products need to be pulled from the backroom based on real-time sales activity. This immediate restocking improves on-shelf availability and drives additional sales.

This quarter's enhancements include the ability to expand restock by scanning low or out-of-stock items on the sales floor, further improving shelf availability. Restock tasks are now grouped by planogram or department for faster navigation, and efficiency is boosted with simple swipe-to-complete actions.

Smarter execution is enabled through new prioritization options, allowing associates to sort tasks by department, largest gaps, quantity needed, or oldest pending items. Together, these enhancements make restocking faster, more accurate, and more actionable—resulting in fuller shelves, fewer missed sales, and an improved customer experience.

Two Step Receiving

Store receiving now supports two-step receiving, which ensures accurate inventory exposure and more efficient store operations. With this new process, inventory removed from the truck is scanned and placed in a temporary “held” state, preventing it from being prematurely exposed online for BOPIS and Ship-to-Home. Only after the pallet or carton is validated, broken down, and moved to the front or back of the store does a second scan make the inventory fully sellable and visible online.

This separation of arrival communication from sellable inventory status improves accuracy, reduces out-of-stocks, and ensures customers only see items that are truly available. The solution also drives labor optimization through automatic restock task closure, enhanced visibility into unprocessed packages, faster receiving validation, and alerting when putaway tasks are overdue. Together, these enhancements streamline receiving and putaway, increase processing speed, improve inventory quality, and enable a better customer experience both in-store and online.

Store Exceptions Enhancements

The store exceptions functionality has been expanded to include a new exception type for Past Due Receipts. This enhancement provides proactive alerting when past-due packages are detected.

Store Initiate Counts

The count-creation interface has been enhanced so that the Product Class list is now filtered based on the selected Departments, improving usability and streamlining the workflow for store associates.

Store

Version 26.1 includes certification of the Zebra TC53/TC53e device, along with enhanced camera scanning that improves accuracy by avoiding out-of-focus barcode reads—resulting in faster, more reliable, and more efficient scanning.

Store Associate Agent: New Skills

The Store Associate Agent brings guidance, insight, and answers directly into the store experience, helping associates stay focused, informed, and confident throughout the day.

Associates can quickly understand how the store is performing against goals with clear, conversational insights rather than complex reports. They can ask simple questions about performance over time and immediately see what’s working, what’s changing, and where to focus next.

Beyond performance, the agent also supports everyday store execution by making policies, procedures, and FAQs easy to access in the same place where associates already work. This reduces searching, minimizes interruptions, and helps teams stay aligned with store standards.

Access to Manhattan Active® Agents requires enrollment in the Active Agents Pilot Program or an Active Agents add-on subscription. Contact your Manhattan representative to learn more and activate these capabilities for your organization.

Store Associate Agent: At a Glance

  • Built into the store app: Always available, right where associates work
  • Plain-language insights: Real-time sales performance without dashboards or reports
  • Ask questions, get answers: Simple prompts like “How are my sales this week?”
  • Product-level guidance: Highlights top-selling items to focus selling efforts
  • Operational support: Instant access to SOPs and step-by-step instructions in POS

Multi-Currency Cash Payments

Accept payments in multiple cash currencies and convert to the store's primary currency in real time. Support for cash reconciliation and bank deposits with multiple currencies.

POS now supports accepting cash payments in multiple currencies, giving retailers more flexibility at checkout and a better experience for international customers. During payment, associates can select an alternate currency,

View the converted amount in real time, and even combine currencies with other payment methods. The cash payments are converted to the store's local currency at the time of sale, and back-office processes support associates in counting and converting foreign currency collected during the day.

Remote Approvals with Push Notifications

Support for remote manager approvals where an associate requests approval for an action they do not have permission for (for example, a significant manual discount), a push notification is sent to the manager's device to review the request, and approve the request remotely, saving time and speeding up the approval process, especially in large format stores.

Contact Center

Contact Center Goals

Customer service leaders can now effortlessly set powerful, motivating goals for their teams, fueling higher sales and elevating customer satisfaction. Goals can
be tailored to sales metrics like average order value (AOV) and units per transaction (UPT), service metrics like customer satisfaction (CSAT) and initial
response time, and efficiency metrics such as cases closed per hour.

Managers and agents can easily monitor progress with the new leaderboard and
agent scorecard. The leaderboard brings these goals to life by gamifying
performance and sparking friendly, high-impact competition across the team.

Contact Center Agent

The Contact Center Agent just got even smarter with two powerful new skills. The first, Proactive Customer Insights, equips agents with rich, real-time intelligence about every customer they serve. Agents can instantly see a summary of a customer’s latest order, identify purchasing patterns, like preferred styles, sizes, or sensitivity to full-price items, and understand behavior at a glance.

The second new skill empowers customer service and omni-channel leaders to Analyze Returns with speed and precision.Quickly uncover answers to data-heavy questions like: Which products were returned most last month, and why? Which brands or styles could benefit from an improved size guide? Which CSRs issued the most policy exceptions? This skill delivers fast, actionable insights that previously would have taken hours to compile, helping leaders make smarter decisions in real time.

More Contact Center Innovations

Capture Return Image & Comments

CSRs can now be prompted to upload an image or add comments for a return item, depending on the return reason they selected. For example, a CSR might ask a customer to upload an image with comments for each return item classified as “Damaged” or “Defective”.

There are two flexible ways for customers to share attachments:

  1. Seamless in-channel sharing: Customers can send images or comments directly through the channel they’re already using, like chat or email.
  2. Digital Self-Service uploads: CSRs can also send a link via email or SMS, allowing customers to quickly upload images and comments on the Digital Self-Service page.

Auto-Populate City/State

When CSRs enter a shipping address, they can now enter the postal code, and the system populates the city and state for them, saving them valuable time during order entry and edits.

Search Orders by Shipping Address and Payment

Enhanced search capabilities are now provided on the Orders and Order Lines user interfaces, enabling users to search by shipping address (line 1, city, state, postal code, country), order total, and payment method.

Refund Shipping Based on Return Reason

This feature helps you take control of rising returns costs by providing a rules-based system that decides which return reasons qualify for shipping refunds. When the retailer is at fault—like a mis-shipped or damaged item—customers automatically get their shipping refunded. But for returns driven by customer choices, such as changing their mind, shipping refunds aren’t issued—helping you protect your bottom line while keeping customers satisfied.

Digital Self Service

Capture Return Image & Comments

Customers can now be prompted to upload an image or add comments for a return item, depending on the return reason they selected. For example, a retailer might ask a customer to upload an image with comments for each return item classified as “Damaged” or “Defective” but not for the items being returned because they didn’t fit. This self-service upload helps retailers track and reduce potential abuse.

Manhattan Agent Foundry™

Your Easy On-Ramp to AI Agents

Manhattan Agent Foundry™ makes it simple to put AI agents to work across your supply chain, whether you’re activating pre-built agents or creating new ones tailored to your business.

Think of Foundry as your central workspace for agents. From one place, teams can turn on existing Manhattan Active® Agents, customize how they work, or build entirely new agents, without needing to be an AI expert.

Business, IT, and operations teams can move at their own pace, using tools designed for how they work, while Manhattan handles the complexity behind the scenes.

Designed for Everyone, Powerful for Experts

We believe that everyone should be able to build AI. That's why the Foundry offers two paths to innovation:

Business & Operations Teams

No Code. No Complexity.
Use our Express Builder to get started in minutes. You don’t need to be a developer. Simply choose from a gallery of ready-to-go agent templates or describe what you want your new agent to do in plain English. If you can write an email, you can build an AI agent.

Developers

Full Control. Unlimited Flexibility.
For those who want to build something truly unique, the Advanced Studio provides a powerful environment with fine-grained control. Developers can design highly sophisticated agents, connect them to custom tools, and create complex workflows to solve any challenge.

Manhattan Active® Agents

Introducing a Native, Autonomous Workforce

Waypoints 26.1 marks a major step forward with the introduction of Manhattan Active® Agents, a new class of intelligent, autonomous agents built directly into the Manhattan Active Platform.

Unlike generic chatbots or AI overlays that surface data, Manhattan Active Agents live where the work happens. They continuously monitor activity, diagnose root causes, orchestrate workflows, and take action in real time, helping teams move faster with less manual effort.

Because they’re native to the platform, these agents operate on live, shared data and execute across planning, execution, and service without integrations, handoffs, or delays. They diagnose root causes, orchestrate complex workflows, and take action in real-time.

This is not AI layered on top of your supply chain; it’s an intelligent workforce embedded within it.

Available Agent Workforce includes:

  • Inventory Availability Agent
  • Contact Center Agent
  • Store Associate Agent
  • Order Creation Agent
  • Wave Coordinator Agent

  • Summarize: Instantly generates an AI summary of the extension pack's functionality.
  • Generate & Download Specs: Automatically creates PDF technical specifications for any extension pack.

Supply Chain Intelligence

Manhattan Active® Supply Chain Intelligence version 26.1 brings a mix of new query subjects and columns. The following outlines some of the notable enhancements to Operational SCI for Manhattan Active® Omni in this release.

Package Updates

Table additions are made to the Order Management package for better reporting. Added tables such as Order Capture Info and Order Summary. The JSON Store column has been added to multiple tables across the packages.

Additional Platform & Agent Enhancements

SOP Assist Improvements

Democratize access to institutional knowledge. The SOP Assist agent allows administrators to upload proprietary documentation (PDFs, text file sizes can now be up to 20MB) directly into the knowledge database. Users can then ask natural language questions and receive accurate citations from your organization's unique Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.

Rule Builder AI Assistance

Configuration complexity is drastically reduced with Generative AI. Users can now provide a text description of a business rule to the Smart Rule Builder, which instantly generates the proper syntax and expression for the configuration screen.
