Unified Warehouse Management Optimized Shipment Planning now allows Manhattan Active Transportation Management to consider not just allocation and cubing, but also the discrete picking sequence when SPE splits orders across multiple shipments. By grouping pallets based on their proximity in the pick path, the system avoids shipment plans that would create excessive extra travel in the warehouse. The result is transportation plans that highly optimized while also being easier and more efficient to execute on the warehouse floor.

Create ASN Agent

Automate ASN creation from documents to accelerate inbound receiving.

The Create ASN Agent eliminates manual ASN data entry from paper shipping documents when vendors do not send electronic ASNs. It autonomously consumes shipping documents, parses images for key item, quantity, and PO details, and generates the ASN in Manhattan Active Warehouse Management. This reduces user errors, speeds the time from trailer arrival to receiving start, and helps decrease carrier dwell time at the dock.

Verify ASN Agent

Automatically verify completed ASNs to finalize receiving faster.

The Verify ASN Agent automates the final verification step traditionally handled by inbound clerical staff, who manually review each receipt. It identifies ASNs that are fully received and automatically verifies them, completing the receiving process without manual intervention. This ensures timely inventory updates to four stock and external systems while freeing staff to focus on true exceptions.

Shipping Supervisor Agent

Proactively manage outbound risks with AI-driven shipping oversight.

The Shipping Supervisor Agent provides a dynamic chat experience and flexible UI to give supervisors visibility across picking, packing, and loading. It continuously monitors outbound progress, surfaces risks such as shipments at risk of missing cutoff times, and recommends corrective actions like reprioritizing outstanding picks. Customers define their own procedures and monitoring rules through an extensible playbook, turning insights into consistent, repeatable responses on the floor.

Expanded Wave Coordinator Agent

Use AI to prevent and resolve allocation and wave issues.

Building on its 26.1 role investigating allocation failures, the Wave Coordinator Agent now adds deeper post wave and new pre wave capabilities. It provides insights into Work Release to highlight when tasks are stalled there, helping prevent shipment delays and guiding users to resolution. A new pre wave check skill lets organizations orders, lines, items, and inventory against a configurable playbook before waving, catching issues early and recommending corrective actions.

Productivity Improvements

Streamline picking workflows to boost accuracy, safety, and throughput.

New pick cart creation options allow finer control over slot assignments using Slot Sequencing Criteria, supporting ergonomic placement of heavier loads and validation of user task group and equipment type for more accurate, efficient cart builds. For high volume; bulk case picking with preprinted oLPN labels, users can now explicitly identify which labels were not applied when picks are short, aligning system shortages with physical reality. Additionally, pickers can immediately count a location to zero during pick exceptions, avoiding delays from separate priority cycle count tasks while preserving standard cycle count traceability and booking rules.

Load Builder UI Improvements

Visually improve trailer load planning to ensure safe compliance.

The Load Builder UI now offers an expanded color scheme to clearly distinguish pallet assignments across many stops, simplifying plan review for complex multistop loads. It also introduces visual indicators that immediately flag trailer compartments exceeding weight limits. These enhancements help users quickly adjust unsafe or inefficient load plans before execution.

Yard Visibility and Map UI Improvements

Gain clearer yard views to manage multi-trailer locations efficiently.

Unified Yard Visibility and Yard Map views now support multi trailer bulk locations used for overflow or shared parking. In tile view, a new banner groups tiles for trailers in the same multi trailer location, while the map introduces distinct icons for these spots. Both views are enriched with capacity and trailer count details so users can instantly understand utilization and available space across the yard.

Alternate PO & ASN ID

Support multiple host systems without sacrificing standard inbound workflows.

For 3PLs and omnichannel retailers running multiple host systems that may generate duplicate PO or ASN numbers, Manhattan Active Warehouse Management now supports alternate PO and ASN ID fields across inbound execution. This preserves Manhattan’s requirement for unique objects while allowing each host to maintain its own numbering. Customers can continue to use optimized standard inbound workflows without custom workarounds or complex integration logic to handle overlaps.

Automatically roll unfinished work forward to keep plans accurate.

Unified Distribution Planning now automatically moves partially shipped order lines, incomplete tasks, and untasked allocations to the next forecast date. This keeps forecasts synchronized with actual remaining work on the floor and reduces the manual effort supervisors spend reconciling plans with real-time execution.

UI Enhancements

In our 26.2 release, we’ve enhanced the Current view within Unified Distribution Planning to give supervisors clearer, more actionable insight into their operations. Tiles now surface richer performance metrics, including utilization, gap time, and both current and historical throughput, to support faster root-cause analysis and better decisions. Supervisors can also choose whether to track progress based on projected work or task work, depending on what best fits their operation. In addition, the clock-in employee panel can now be hidden for a cleaner interface, inherits all applied filters for consistent context, and displays inline employee metrics to help quickly identify and address performance gaps.

Same-day planning tiles now show additional metrics like employee performance, utilization, gap time, and both current and historical throughput, giving supervisors clearer trend visibility. Progress can be viewed by projected work or tasked work, allowing operations to choose the metric that best fits their environment. The Clocked In Employee Panel is hidden by default for a cleaner UI, inherits all applied filters, and surfaces inline metrics to quickly highlight performance gaps for targeted analysis.

Tasked Work and Completed Work Updates

See true labor effort when work exceeds original estimates.

Unified Distribution Planning now more accurately calculates and displays tasked and completed hours when actual work runs longer than the initial labor estimate, including Engineered Labor Standards scenarios. Supervisors gain a more realistic view of work completed and time remaining, preventing misleading completion signals and supporting better staffing decisions.

Static Throughput Goal Insights

Track performance against fixed throughput goals in real time.

A new view lets supervisors monitor progress against a configured Static Throughput Goal using real-time employee performance. They can quickly compare current throughput to the target and identify where performance is falling short, enabling timely interventions to keep teams on pace.

Forecast Output Creation Enhancements

Guarantee complete forecast visibility across all anchor activities daily.

The system now always generates forecast outputs for every anchor activity, even when projected work for that activity is zero. This ensures supervisors can still see which activities have work remaining for the day and avoids blind spots caused by missing forecast entries.

Labor Agent: Embedded Gap Time and Performance Insights

Leverage AI insights directly in scorecards and timelines.

The Labor Agent is now integrated into the Employee Timeline and Employee Scorecard screens. On the timeline, High Gap Time insights appear in-context, and launching the agent reveals details and recommended actions such as creating coaching interactions. On the scorecard, Performance Improvement Opportunity insights guide supervisors to targeted interventions like coaching or challenges. All insights and actions follow your configured governance policies and playbooks.

Labor Agent Enhancement for Balancing Resources

Rebalance resources automatically between overstaffed and understaffed functions.

The Labor Agent now identifies hierarchy members (such as job functions) that are behind on tasked picking and calculates how many additional resources they need to catch up. It also highlights functions that are ahead with excess resources and recommends specific resource moves, based on employee eligibility, task group, and vehicle type. These recommendations are driven by governance policies and playbooks that define function-to-task mappings and thresholds for “ahead” or “behind.”

Accurate Overlap Representation in Prepend Mode

Visualize overlapping work sequences correctly for better decisions.

In prepend mode, Unified Distribution Planning now more accurately identifies and renders overlapping work. Supervisors get a clearer visual of how tasks are sequenced and executed, leading to more confident planning and real-time adjustments.

Consider Forecast if No History is Available

Prevent understated demand from incomplete history to optimize slotting.

A new Enable Demand Source Fallback parameter lets the system treat whichever demand source is present—outbound picks or external demand—as 100% of demand when the other source is missing. This avoids underestimating demand for items without full history, leading to more accurate slotting demand, better permanent bin assignments, improved space utilization, and less replenishment effort.

Add From Existing Criteria Option on the Item Evaluation Strategy

Reuse evaluation criteria to standardize configuration across sites.

The Item Evaluation Strategy screen now includes an “Add From Existing” option so users can copy existing evaluation criteria instead of rebuilding them from scratch. This speeds configuration work and reduces the risk of errors when maintaining item evaluation strategies, especially in multi-site environments.

Using the Request Appointment action on supplier purchase orders, planners or vendors can trigger the Appointment Management Agent to email carriers a secure booking link. Carriers select an available dock slot without logging in, and the system automatically creates the appointment and sends confirmations to the DC, vendor, and carrier—reducing manual scheduling effort and improving ontime arrivals.

Routing Request Agent

Digitize vendor routing emails into structured Supplier Routing Requests

The Routing Request Agent reads vendor emails and PDFs, extracting key routing details like PO numbers, quantities, locations, and pickup windows to automatically create or update supplier routing requests. If information is missing, it sends follow up emails and then confirms creation or updates back to the vendor. This reduces planner data entry and improves readiness for inbound planning.

Shipment Tracking Agent Enhancements

Customize exception alerts and tracing for shipment execution issues.

The Shipment Tracking Agent now supports facility contact notifications, carrier specific; alerts, and a notify only mode that sends exception alerts without triggering automated actions. It can automatically place invoices on hold or release them based on proof of delivery, clearly tags agent driven actions in change logs, improves error visibility, and uses standardized configuration parameters for easier setup and more reliable monitoring.

Transportation Planner Agent Enhancements

Give planners quicker AI-driven insights directly from planning runs.

On the Routing Run Summary page, an AI Insights icon now launches Unified Logistics Control with relevant transportation orders and shipments pre filtered. The Transportation Planner Agent also adds SOP driven natural language prompts, better default views, stronger error handling, and more consistent responses, making it easier for planners to find and act on shipments needing attention.

Transportation Zone-To-Zone Infeasibility for Shipment Consolidation

Prevent incompatible origins and destinations from consolidating into one shipment.

Planners can configure zone to zone infeasibility rules that block specific facilities or addresses from being consolidated into the same shipment during advanced planning. When a violation occurs in advanced or manual planning, the system warns the user, who can still override if needed. Zones with usage type “Zone Infeasibility” and their relationships are managed in a dedicated configuration UI.

Transportation Order Line–Level Chargeable Weight Calculation for LTL Shipments

Calculate precise chargeable weight at line level for accurate rating.

Manhattan Active Transportation Management can now calculate chargeable weight at the TO line or package level using rules based on origin, destination, dimensions, weight, volume, or loading meters. These values aggregate to a shipment level chargeable weight used in rating and are stored as supplemental quantities for use in carrier flex rates. Calculations run during TO creation and updates, before auto shipment creation and revenue rating, in both advanced and manual planning.

Freight and Accessorial Cost Visibility for Broadcast Tender Responses

Compare full carrier costs transparently during broadcast tendering.

The Broadcast Review page now shows freight cost, accessorial cost, and total cost for each carrier’s tender response. A popup reveals a detailed breakdown of individual accessorials, helping users understand the true all in cost before selecting a carrier. Existing manual and auto award logic continues to pick the lowest total cost, and awarded shipments still include both freight and accessorials in shipment and tender records.

Enhanced Freight Invoice Audit Visibility

Audit invoices faster with side-by-side planned versus invoiced costs.

The Freight Invoice Details screen now consolidates planned shipment costs, rating details, confirmation status, overrides, and non invoiced charges for the same service provider in one place. Users can compare planned versus invoiced costs, shipment sizes, distance, stops, and equipment types to quickly spot discrepancies. Support for supplemental units of measure in freight cost calculations adds flexibility for customer specific rating requirements.

Rules Based Account Coding Configuration

Automate account code assignment using flexible business rules.

Account coding for transportation orders, shipments, and invoices now supports rulesbased configuration. Users define rules using attributes like origin, destination, country, planning type, and extended attributes, plus a default fallback rule. The updated Account Code Definition UI offers clearer labels, more attribute choices, and namebased displays instead of IDs, simplifying setup for finance and transportation teams.

Customizable Additional Activities in Dispatch Workspace

Tailor dispatch activity views to highlight what matters most.

Administrators can configure the Additional Activities grid in Dispatch Workspace by selecting, reordering, hiding, adding, editing, or removing standard and extended attributes. Extended attributes are managed via metadata, and changes apply immediately for end users. This lets dispatchers focus on the most relevant activity data in Trip Details and related workflows, while preserving admin< only control over configuration.

Move Stop to Different Shipment in a Specific Position

Planners can now move stops between shipments and choose their exact placement in the destination stop sequence. When a stop is new to the target shipment, it can be inserted at the beginning, at a chosen sequence number, or before/after another stop. New Agent Extensibility lets customers copy product shipped base agents into independent variants with new IDs and prompts, tools, or routing, while the originals remain locked and upgrade safe.

Scheduled and Autonomous Agent Runs

Turn agents into always-on digital workers with flexible schedules.

Nonconversational agents can now be run on recurring schedules defined via Quartzstyle cron expressions or natural language like “every hour on Mondays and Fridays,” which a helper agent converts and validates. Multiple schedules and parameters per agent enable continuous background monitoring, policy checks, and followup actions without manual triggering.

External Agent Interoperability (MCP Connect & Remote MCP)

Connect external agent frameworks to Manhattan using standard MCP.

Remote MCP now lets customers register their own MCP servers per tenant, safely exposing domainspecific tools and data to Manhattan agents. Through MCP Connect, external MCPcompatible clients (for example, Google ADK or LangChain agents) call a single authenticated endpoint to discover and invoke Manhattanhosted tools and agents via standard Model Context Protocol operations—eliminating bespoke integrations and supporting heterogeneous agent ecosystems.

Agents can now be invoked from Manhattan ProActive extension handlers as synchronous or asynchronous routes. This allows customers to layer intelligent decisioning—such as governance checks or log analysis—into existing extensions without modifying core product code.

New Active Agents and Ticket Management dashboards show how agents are used, including total agents, active users, ticket volumes, and resolution split between agents and humans. The ProActive Extension Manager Agent brings conversational search and summarization into extension management so users can quickly find, review, and act on Extension Packs without manual navigation. The Extension Developer Agent then helps builders create new Extension Packs from natural language requirements, proposing an execution plan and generating complete payloads—including extensions, service definitions, and handlers—reducing hand-coded effort and improving consistency.

ProActive Configurator Modern UX and Database Extensions

Modernize configuration experience while simplifying advanced database extensions.

The 26.2 release introduces a refreshed ProActive Configurator UI with dark and light themes, available by default with an option to temporarily switch back. A redesigned Database Extensions page now surfaces system attributes, custom attributes, indexes, and storage usage in a clear tabular view, with unified actions to manage them. Flexible Database Attributes also gain a migration path from JSON storage to physical columns, preserving agility while supporting high-performance or integration-heavy use cases.
