New Innovations 26.3
User Experience
Sightline™
The Plan Tells You What Will Happen. Sightline Tells You Why It Happened.
Release 26.3 introduces the first version of Sightline for ActivePlanning, bringing a lens-based user experience to workflows.
Sightline is designed to give planners a more focused way to review demand signals, compare forecast outputs, and work through targeted planning scenarios without relying on disconnected screens or manual analysis steps.
In this Waypoint, the initial version of Sightline includes lens-based workflows for Promotional Forecasting and Forecast by Demand Channel.
Future releases of Sightline will continue to focus on adding flexibility to the user workflows to further enhance the user experience.
Notes Enhancements
Notes That Travel With Your Business
Standard attributes only tell part of the story. In ActivePlanning 26.3, Notes enhancements make it easier to capture and carry forward the instructions, comments, and business context your teams need to act with confidence.
Notes can now be applied at the Item, Item Location, and Sourcing Relationship levels, as well as across suggested orders at both the header and line level. That means fewer missed details, clearer communication, and better context exactly where planning decisions happen.
New configuration options provide more control over how notes are managed and used downstream.
With richer context embedded directly in the workflow, planners can reduce guesswork, improve coordination, and keep important details connected to the work they support.

Replenishment & Inventory Optimization
Host Order Import
This release introduces Host Order Import to improve how purchase orders are reconciled between ActivePlanning and host execution systems. The capability recreates and updates orders in ActivePlanning based on host purchase orders, while preserving references back to the original orders.
It supports split and merge scenarios and automatically updates order and inventory records so quantities move from the original ActivePlanning orders to the new host orders while downstream supply, tracking, and analytics remain aligned. The result is more accurate, host-aligned purchase.
Forward Buy on the Fly
Forward Buy on the Fly allows users to configure and execute forward buy simulations at both the Suggested Order and item-location levels.
Users can configure deal allowances such as discounts and price increases, define cost factors such as carrying cost and borrowing rate, and evaluate the impact in terms of extra days, profit, and adjusted totals by unit of measure. After reviewing the simulation results, planners can apply the selected outcome directly to suggested orders.
Multi-Currency Support
This release adds multi-currency support to ActivePlanning flows.
Customers can now support vendors operating across currencies such as USD, CAD, and EUR, with vendor currency defined at the sourcing relationship level for downstream processes. Suggested orders and approved or released orders can display both base-currency and purchasing-currency values, while calculations and persistence continue in base currency across planning, order build, and downstream integrations.
Support for vendors operating across currencies such as:
- USD
- CAD
- EUR
Flow Through / Cross Dock
This waypoint introduces Flow Through, a synchronized cross-dock replenishment model in Inventory Optimization.
The solution creates a consolidated vendor purchase order at the upper-echelon Vendor-to-Parent-DC level based on the aggregated needs of multiple lower-echelon child DCs, then allocates and pushes inventory downstream without requiring long-term storage at the parent location.
Key capabilities include:
- Support for pure cross-dock parent nodes as well as hybrid parent nodes that serve both regular replenishment demand and cross-dock demand
- A new Cross-Dock sourcing relationship type and related item-location source configuration
- Support for the same source-destination pair to operate with both Regular and Cross-Dock behavior for different items
- Combined lead-time calculation across the Vendor-to-Parent-DC-to-Child-DC flow
- Parent-level consolidation of lower-echelon cross-dock demand with any regular demand
- Allocation-based push replenishment for downstream fulfillment on release
- Proportional cascading of parent-level quantity adjustments back to linked child cross-dock item-locations
- Unified visibility into both Vendor-to-Parent and Cross-Dock child suggested orders, with review and release controlled at the parent level
In addition, distribution order generation is governed by a global Cross-Dock Order Generation Offset Days configuration, and delayed downstream orders are preserved as on-order supply for subsequent SOQ calculations.

Demand Forecasting
Calculators and Adoption of Multiple Forecasts
The application now supports multiple forecast projections for the same item and location, including:
- ActivePlanning Machine Learning-Based Forecast
- ActivePlanning UFM Forecast
- Customer-supplied forecast
- Calculator-based forecast
- Manually user-adjusted forecasts
This provides planners the ability to keep forecast streams separate, compare them, and decide whether to use, ignore, or combine them based on business rules. Planners can also apply corrections or adjustments to individual projections without changing the original system-generated forecast, improving both forecast transparency and decision quality.
Event Forecasting Lens
The Event Forecasting Lens further enhances promotional forecasting by providing a focused workflow to review upcoming promotions and see how past promotions performed.
The lens supports review of promo event forecasts, lets planners lock in daily lift quantities, and allows promotional forecast projections to be adjusted as needed. The experience brings together future event timelines, event forecast results, forecast projections, and past event timelines, along with corresponding promotional quantity and sales information, so users can evaluate promotional performance and refine future forecasts in one place.
Forecast By Demand Channel
This enhancement introduces foundational capabilities in Active Inventory to support forecasting at the Item–Location–Demand Channel level .
It establishes the required data structures, metrics, and forecasting behavior to capture, cleanse, and generate demand history and forecasts by demand channel.
The update also strengthens the reliability of forecasting inputs by automatically recalculating Effective Sales when new historical sales data is interfaced or when demand channel assignments change. These improvements ensure more accurate and timely demand signals for customers leveraging demand-channel-level forecasting.

ProActive + Platform
Waypoints 26.3 brings enhancements to ProActive that make extensibility easier to discover, configure, and manage, while also expanding the role of agent-assisted development workflows.
As the Platform Product Leader, Ravi drives product innovation that affects the ActivePlatform™ and its solutions.
Enhanced Database Extension User Interface
The Database Extensions user interface has been enhanced to provide better visibility into configured attributes for the selected component and entity. Base system attributes, custom extended attributes, and custom indexes are now separated into clearer sections, making it easier to search, add, activate, migrate, delete, and manage attributes and indexes from a more streamlined interface.
ProActive Landing Page Enhancements
The ProActive landing page has been modernized with a new layout and updated navigation. Extension Packs are now accessed from the primary tile, Developer Documentation and Developer Artifacts options are easier to discover, and a new Agentic Discovery tile launches the ProActive Discovery Agent so users can explore available extension points and APIs more easily. This capability is automatically enabled as part of the release.
ProActive Discovery and Extensibility Enhancements
Make it easier to discover, configure, and manage extensibility across the platform.
- Modernize the ProActive landing experience with clearer access to Extension Packs, developer resources, and Agentic Discovery.
- Improve Database Extensions visibility by separating base attributes, custom attributes, and indexes in a cleaner UI.
- Help developers find relevant extension points faster using natural-language discovery, business-term search, and better runtime flow visibility.
