Manhattan Associates Named a Visionary in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems

Analyst firm recognizes Manhattan’s completeness of vision and ability to execute

ATLANTA, April 25, 2018

Manhattan Associates Inc. (NASDAQ: MANH) today announced it has been named a Visionary in Gartner Inc.’s Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems[1] (TMS). The company believes this recognition validates the deep functionality of its TMS software, its compelling supply chain execution (SCE) vision, and its unique position in the market.

Gartner’s Magic Quadrant measures vendors based on their completeness of vision and ability to execute. Manhattan’s TMS solution bridges both the substantive capabilities and complex integrations needed by top-tier clients (shippers that spend more than $100 million annually on freight) and more streamlined solutions with the lower TCO required by mid-sized clients (shippers that spend between $25 and $100 million annually on freight).

The Gartner TMS report states, “Controlling transportation costs, creating internal efficiencies, increasing visibility and securing transport capacity are currently the top motivators for investing in a TMS.” Manhattan believes its TMS solution offers rich functionality in each of these key areas and builds on the company’s expansive SCE convergence vision.

Part of the Manhattan ActiveTM Supply Chain Solution suite, Manhattan’s TMS offers end-to-end business process support for all transportation functions, including strategic analysis, procurement, and operational planning to execution, visibility, and freight payment and claims. It is designed to reduce transportation costs, improve service levels, automate processes, streamline execution, and lower operational risk. Today, Manhattan also announced significant additions to this rich feature set with new digital freight matching, mobility, and visibility enhancements.
