Multi-Type Consolidation
Enterprise Promise & Fulfill supports multiple order consolidation types applied dynamically based on business requirements and customer preferences. For example, Enterprise Promise & Fulfill supports combining multiple orders from the same customer into a single shipment and grouping deliveries from different orders/SKUs from various warehouses or suppliers into one last-mile delivery.

Just-In-Time Decision-Making
Enterprise Promise & Fulfill optimizes order consolidation considering the order cut-off times of distribution centers/warehouses. Many customers will place multiple orders with a B2B merchant throughout the day. From a cost and efficiency perspective, it is optimal for the B2B merchant to consolidate these orders into one shipment. However, most ERP and warehouse management systems do not have the visibility or time-sensitive logic to manage consolidation optimally. And in cases where a merchant has multiple warehouse management systems in one distribution center, order consolidation becomes a highly complicated and costly endeavor. Enterprise Promise & Fulfill’s order consolidation capability automatically holds orders, looks for consolidation opportunities, and releases orders for fulfillment, applying consolidation decisions just in time to comply with customer service-level agreements and distribution center order processing cut-off times.

Backorder Consolidation
Enterprise Promise & Fulfill automatically finds order consolidation opportunities when back-ordered inventory becomes available for fulfillment. Instead of shipping the back-ordered item(s) immediately, Enterprise Promise & Fulfill will hold the back-ordered items and consolidate them with another customer shipment for the same day or the next day while complying with customer service levels and preferences. This approach creates one unified delivery, further enhancing the customer experience and reducing unnecessary shipping costs.
